MODERN ROBOTICS

Robots that see, measure and adapt.

We design robot cells with vision and sensing at their core, so arms, cobots and mobile robots adjust to the part in front of them. Every cell is engineered from first principles, built to recognised safety standards and runs on the same Wtr systems as Wtr.Inspect, so robots take on new parts with far less programming.

What we build

WITH EXPECTED IMPACT
Robot inspection cells
Portal cells with inverted robots and roll positioners that show every face of a part to the camera
70 to 90% fewer defects reaching the customer
Vision-guided robots
Pick and place, seam tracking and part localisation using 2D and 3D vision
50 to 70% less programming per new part
Collaborative robots
Cobots for inspection, marking and machine tending that work safely beside people
30 to 50% less floor space than fenced cells
Autonomous mobile robots
LiDAR navigation and mapping for material movement and inspection rounds
30 to 50% less manual material movement
Simulation before steel
Reach, cycle time and layout studies in 3D before a cell is built
30 to 50% faster commissioning
Robot welding support
Weld cell monitoring, tip dress checks and seam inspection
80 to 95% fewer weld spot escapes
Controls and integration
PLCs, safety controllers, light curtains, area scanners, HMIs and MES links
15 to 25% higher cell throughput
Robot health
Joint, tool and cycle monitoring that catches wear before it stops the line
20 to 40% less unplanned downtime

HOW IT WORKS

Robot cells that look, think and stay safe.

Our cells pair robots with vision at their core and safety worked out on paper before anything moves. Here is the loop that guides them, a typical inspection cell and how guards are placed.

THE LOOP
How a vision-guided robot works
The robot looks before it moves and checks after, so it adjusts to the part in front of it.
ROBOT INSPECTION CELL
A portal inspection cell
An inverted robot carries the camera while a roll positioner turns the part, so every face is brought into view, as in our ScanStation Neo cell.
SAFETY DISTANCE
Safeguards placed by calculation
Light curtains and scanners are positioned from the arithmetic, so a person cannot reach the hazard before the machine has stopped. Robot cells follow ISO 10218 and safety controls ISO 13849.
WHAT SETS OUR DELIVERY APART
Expected ranges; results vary by site
Simulation before steel
30 to 50% faster commissioning
Reach and cycle time proven in 3D
Safety designed in
30 to 50% fewer nuisance stops
ISO 10218, 13849 and 13855
Vision at the core
50 to 70% less programming
Robots that adjust to each part
